Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. Nearly 33,000 members belong to more than 1,200 Zonta Clubs in 67 countries and geographic areas.

The Zonta Club of Oakville has been working in the Halton community for 37 years assisting women and their families. We are a small but vibrant group of professional women, that work together to help women and children in our community. Some of the organizations that we have supported are: Wellspring Halton, Halton Women's Centre, SAVIS, Halton Women's Information Centre, Big Sisters, Ian Anderson Hospice, Kerr Street Ministeries, Sheridan College and scholarships for young economically challenged and talented women to continue their education.

Our club does not seek to compete with other service organizations in the community, we look to enhance, complement or add to the donations/services already being provided. In order to raise funds and awareness of women's issues, we host several events during the year, which are featured in the 'Special Events' section of our web site.
